In the bluey silvery colour.....
I'll go look at it later at mechanics and get paint code.
If all else fails any similar colour and I'll have to stump $3800 on a 2K closed door job.
Unless any of you in Melbz do paint? No rust. All hang ons removed.

I think @iceton1975 has a friendly panel shop contact.
I've got a recommendation in Geelong if that works for you too.

Thankyou Ash, I'm keen to know what your peeps will do the job for as I'm fielding FB Marketplace panel guys ATM with wildly varying prices and unknown quality, from $3800 2K closed door to near $9K proper restorative workshop.
Marks good guy is doing his 240 now on top surfaces (some of my contacts won't do blending....) it's not cheap at Marks special rates......He doesn't have a cheaper guy anymore as they had a change of staff.
Gotcha.
Obviously, with the black V70 I didnt have such a great experience with the first go at getting some paintwork done (and I've still got some legacy issues to have rectified), but I had MotorOne Autobody in Grovedale paint the front guards, skirts, front bumper and re-paint the bonnet that I'd already had done.
I dont have an affiliation/connection, other than them being recommended. They werent cheap, though I dont actually know if they were expensive either, but I am very happy with their work.
They'll definitely re-paint the roof for me too as there's still some issues with that after it was done first time around by the first person who painted it (admittedly, it's now a heap better than it was) and I might even have them re-paint the quarters again too.
Dunno how far to go with it really.
Seems like for a not cheap job they were the worst!
Ive just talked to the retired mechanic, Marks neighbour as the sparkplug nearest the firewall was cross threaded, I'm going to blame the husband of the woman I bought it from , 1- cos of his cock head attitude to his wife while we were there and B- a lawyer. I bet he did it.
Angelo is an expert and should be able to helicoil it by removing shiit but if it's head off the paint can wait.......
