WTB 80A/100A alternator for 240

Hey all,

As per title, hoping to grab either a 80A or 100A alternator in good nick off you guys for my 1982 244 that I'm cleaning up.

My 55A alternator is cactus (confirmed through diagnosis) and thinking longer-term will probably put in an electric fan and an AC blower fan as well as some other bits and bobs that will significantly increase amperage requirements. So hoping to get one of the beefier alternators as a starting point instead of just getting mine rebuilt.

Have done some bedtime reading on this forum and understand I may need to reshell / mix and match my alternator housing for some versions which I'm not worried about doing, but would obviously prefer some sort of bolt-in solution.

Located Sydney - happy to pick up but also happy to pay for postage.

To be honest I'm not sure! Can't find anything on people using P80 alts - it's probably different enough being mated to a whiteblock that it won't work?

There must be smarter heads than me on here. If it's just pulley size and maybe the electrical bit surely it can work.

I'll ask a sparky at work who does 4wd stuff if he can help.
