I have a Turbosmart 38mm external gate.
What compression ratio is your engine? I've seen people skim the top off N/A pistons to get the compression down and reduce knock. Or is high boost going to be an E85 thing?

Standard non turbo pistons with standard head gasket. So what's that, 9.8:1 aren't they? I was hoping that compression ratio might be ok. I'm not looking to run huge boost. 20psi is fine for me. I think it might be the heat and the fact that the turbo can't expel the exhaust gas quick enough….possibly.
I have run e85 a few times as I have a flex fuel sensor and replaced fuel lines etc. Noticeable difference that's for sure. But it's not tubed to it.
