EOI at this stage!
Considering selling this u-beaut 1974 145. Been a project of mine for about 6 months, but I don't really have time anymore and it looks like its going to sit in the garage indefinitely, so hoping another enthusiast can carry on the resto and get more enjoyment out of it! Not sure exactly what its worth - have probably put more than $10k into it so offers over that...
Car runs and drives great - starts first pop and runs as smooth as you could hope for. Genuine 99k kilometers. Everything pretty much original - B20 with injection, BW35 auto trans. No oil or water leaks at all.
At one point something has scraped along the left side - and there are a couple of small dings - but nothing major at all. Basically no rust (bonnet and passenger door have obviously been replaced for this reason) - just a very small amount on the right corner of the tailgate. Will come with new chrome trims ready to install on left side. Also currently has the dragway rims with semi-slicks on it - but plenty of options here if you dont like them - I have the original wheels, as well as some black steelies which I'm happy to swap to.
Stuff I've replaced / fixed:
- Brake master cylinder
- All brake rotors, calipers and hoses
- Fuel pump and fuel filter
- Water pump
- All rubber bushes and ball joints, front and back
- New Billstein shocks all around
- Steering box (replaced pitman seal)
- Transmission selector shaft seal
- Injectors
- Center muffler
- Relays, globes, rheostats, etc
- Oil filter, air filter, plugs, oils, coolant, wiper blades, etc
- Steering wheel (no cracks)
- Headlight clips, sump plug, all sorts of bits & bobs
- Moved the front bumper in a little - but this can be reversed.
Stuff that still needs doing:
- Paint!
- Dash has a crack and needs some love
- Trims on left side - was waiting for the paint job!
- Upholstery is a bit faded in places, but is solid - may need attention if you're fussy.
It passed roadworthy a couple of weeks ago and is now on club reg. If need be I can get another roadworthy done for the sale.
I also have a 1974 144 which is a donor vehicle. For the right price I can include this in the deal. It's been a bit picked over, but plenty of good stuff still there. Was a manual, but the trans has been removed. The B20 still turns over and fires on Aerostart, but haven't tested it further.
