IIRC in early October of 86, the whole Australian Volvo Dealer Team of 3 cars was for sale for the bargain basement price of 250 grand, before Mother Volvo bought them for Söderquist Racing and loaded them aboard an Antonov An-225 to fly back to Europe. Phil Ward Turbo wanted them, but Hans-Åke Söderquist once worked for VMS until it was disbanded following the 86 ETC, so he got 'em. Or so the story goes.
Eventually the book in planning by Björn Ohlson and Mark Petch will be published and tell the full story.
