I'm definitely not an expert on those front wheel drive whiteblock engines, however from what I understand the inlet manifold needs to be removed to gain access to the oil trap (aka breather box) and associated hoses.
There's a lot of seals, hoses, gaskets, the oil trap, and it pays to replace them all at the same time.
How's the cam belt and tensioner? Water pump? Coolant hoses? Radiator? Again, do it all and get some preventative medicine points
