Has anyone had repairs done to the ECU that have both worked and lasted? Injectronics in Hallam Victoria have been recommended. Anyone have any experience with this company worth sharing?
Thanks
Graham

You can just drop in another one from a wreck , call Mark at berry Motor Group.
What's wrong with your ecu and what year model is your C70?
I've used injectronics before but they're wait times have ballooned lately and they're unable to repair a bunch of the newer electronics. You still have to pay even if they can't repair it, so you need to be confident of your diagnosis.
It is starting issue. Car starts but then stops. We have checked, when it stops it lose power to injectors. Car is 1998 C70 so ECU is not as complicated as newer models. It does not happen all the time , usually first start of the day
That's probably not an ecu fault.
Sounds more like an immobiliser fault, as that cuts injector pulse.
Does your remote central locking work?
That was my first thought. Replaced immobiliser ring with new genuine part. Yes central locking works. Till we found problem with power thought it might be fuel i.e filter pump etc but fuel pressure is spot on. Injectors cleaned just in case. Vacuum lines checked.
Crank angle sensor some times called Crank position sensor can be intermittent they generally play up when warm tho.
I doubt it would affect the power supply to the injectors tho if thays what your saying the fault is in your previous fault . Normally there should be a constant 12v to one side of the injector and the ecm usually pulses the neg when it wants to fire the injector. Injectors are sort of difficult to diagnose if these pulsing. You can check for 12v but your best bet is a NOID light help to check injector pulse.
The ECM would be the last thing I would change they do fail but rarely. If you could borrow one to try first would be easier

Have you tried replacing the immobiliser relay?
Its up under the driver's side dash above the accelerator pedal.
Aus delivered p80s usually had an aftermarket setup that bridged the 210/211 relay positions with a clear plastic connector, that setup can be troublesome.
It's worth checking what setup your car has as you can either replace or bypass the immobiliser.
Thanks LLOYDY and Tim for the suggestions. Crank angle sensor was replaced about 12 months ago (again genuine Volvo part) so doubt this is cause. It was by using NOID light help to check injector pulse that my garage isolated problem. Will now check on immobiliser relay and see what I can come up with
Again, many thanks for the suggestions
It was worth a shot. I have never really messed around with the immobiliser side of things. I am curious to learnt tho. I have a 97 P80 and I did have a look I don't have the relays under the dash in 210/211 spot or even the relay bases for that matter so I couldn't see any after market doings either. You can zoom in and see the empty 210/211
I tried to find the fuses today but no luck. I looked in car under driver side and found imobilier but no fuses/relays. Can anyone give me a few clues where to look?
