Andy777 Appreciate any help.Fitted an apply car play unit to my XC90 2012. Had the ignition off but didn't disconnect the battery ??.Now the airbag light is on.I have a G scan but won't take to fault code off. Been reading, says it's a common thing but needs to go to Volvo to get it take off. Is that true? Thanks for any help.Cheers Andy
timbo Did you remove the stock stereo? Is this why you think CEM is fried or is that a different issue? The stereo is wired in series on the canbus What unit did you fit? Were there any stock connectors left unused
Ex850R Don't you have to patch onto the existing wires and put the module from the dash under the passenger seat still connected to get the car going?
Ex850R https://www.mr12volt.com/collections/volvo/products/most-bluetooth-adapter-for-volvo-c30-c70-v40-v80-xc90-xc70This seems to be the best option.
Andy777 Yes removed the stock radio, put a Kenwood system in with earpro plug n play wiring ( incl MOST optics)I did a dumb thing though. It was all functional except the pop up rear camera monitor wasn't working. Thought I would like to keep that going instead of running the vision into the new system. I had a look at what plugs were left unused. There was one unused that could be plugged into the old radio and thought that could be running it. Plugged that in and instantly a triangular warning light came up on the dash. I was thinking if it got the pop up unit going I could have just removed that part of the radio off the main unit and put it in the back with the wiring line. ?
Andy777 Just an update. Got it sorted. Need to take the display screen out of the old unit, plug it in and stash it in behind the new unit. Everything came good ?
