Not bad!
Are you keeping the headrests on these ones?
I like to leather headrest inserts that were an option or maybe came on GLEs?
If you really wanted to go to town there are kits to fill any damage and recolour that seem to work and last well , the stuff is used in industry to repair hides so must be OK.

The photos aren't the best, but the centre photo best shows the colour of the leather. It matches the door cards, which is ideal.
The stitching has come undone on the passenger seat, as well as a section on the rear bench. Like I said, I'm really happy, as they're more comfy and are in better nick than the previous seats.

Looks good Scott.

When are you planning on doing the carpet fitting?
Do you want a hand with that?
I came across a good (seemingly) motor trimmer in Geelong recently that might be able to re-stitch them bad bits if that's of interest?
A_Volvo_Driver
*ugh* the fucking carpets. I'm really worried that I've messed them up, and wasted money. Some help would be appreciated though Ash :)
It's a shitty job, but will make a big difference when done.
Re-stitching the bad bits on the seats would be nice too.

Let's see if you, Joe and I can do a saturday or sunday before christmas and get it done.
Re: the trimming, I have a seat base out of my VE getting done by them now, want to wait to find out that outcome of that or do you just want the phone number?
A_Volvo_Driver
I'll wait and see how yours end up. I might also see what the local trimmer wants for the job.

Goodo. Should be back by the end of next week.
Rob
If you were closer I would restitch the seats for you.

Hey all, I thought that I'd talk the opportunity to do a 2014 recap for you, as last year was pretty big for THE MOOSE.
Some of the highlights for me include the OMP wheel install, boot spoiler, extractors w/2.25" exhaust, clear indicators, speakers/head unit, manual conversion/3.91 diff, "Parkes Special" paint job, and the leather interior.
What's in store for 2015? First up will be the install of the worked 531 head, K cam and adjustable cam gear. That should pep the car up again! I've got a set of 16" wheels which need to be painted up and new tyres will be needed. A front brake upgrade will most likely be done at that time too. The carpet needs to be replaced, and then I should be ready to start prepping the car for a respray. I might then have a look at "whats next?", and look down the Turbo road. Maybe. There are a few things on the list to be checked off first.
The Parkes trip in September was the biggest highlight of the year, as I got to meet a bunch of you, and put faces to names. You've all been a big help to me with technical questions, and have been great people to hang out with. Here's to 2015 being great for The Moose, as 2014 was.

The videos won't have the whine of yours Ben. I really liked your videos.
Ben
Thanks, I never took enough videos. No whine is good when you're next to the poh leese!

I did some wrenching today, feel like a man LOL. I changed out the radiator today, and will see how it goes on the drive to work tomorrow.
This is actually the second time in 2 weeks that I changed the radiator. I bought a used one that was no good. Chalk that one up for the 'live and learn' team.
CamZH
2 times in 2 weeks makes you an expert :)

End of an era today. The Moose has been dropped off at Angus' and will not be going back to Melbourne with me. The Moose will live on in spirit, but will make way to something else in the next month or two.
It was an amazing car, and will be the basis of comparison for years to come.
