Volvo 240 gearbox/trans mount bushings

Hi All,

I need to replace my 1980 volvo m45 trans mount and reading around there seems to be a few suggestions on other forums of using a 164 engine mount or an M47 mount instead as they're a bit more heavy duty and last better.

Has anyone tried this, and does anyone know the part number - hoping to get it local rather than ship from IPD. If it's OEM I think mackay should make it local right?

164 mount is good, m47 mount not so much. 6 cyl Cortina engine mount also works which should be easier to get locally.

This guy? It doesn't look like it has an offset in the same way the original does

There shouldn't be an offset on a 2 series trans mount, unless I'm mistaken. That mount above should work fine, as does a v8 range rover engine mount but a little grinding is involved to make one side clear.

240 trans mounts are similar in shape to 140 engine and trans mounts. The bolts aren't offset.
