Hey guys.
I replaced the timing belt kit on our 2006 T6 last night.
I noticed that the exhaust vvt hub has in/out play (which appears to be a common issue) but it's also notchy as it rotates left to right. This is my biggest concern.
What are people's experience with these hubs. Is it still serviceable or is it a sign that it's going to pack it in?
We have owned the car for about a year. It has never felt like a 200kw car and fuel consumption has been somewhat high (16.5 L/100 town and country). No codes.
Timing belt had been done 50,000km prior to our ownership. Decided to replace it and make sure timing was set correctly etc.
Wondering if the notchy exh vvt hub can effect the cam timing without throwing a code?
