Had a ganda at what the guy did to flush the tranny oil out of his auto. What i thought was interesting is that when my tranny oil is changed,all its flushing out is the oil from the pan and not the torque converter which obviously holds oil.
If i understand correctly,what he did was flush the torque converter as well. There are liters of fluid in that. When you run the engine and get the tran to pump fluid around,you therefore pump the old oil out of the torque converter as well.
A variation of what he did would be to dump the oil out of the pan first,then fill with new oil,then start car to pump the new oil in through the converter. Might save some oil that way.
Any thoughts?
