Hi my xc60 transmits vibration through the body/ steering wheel etc when moving with engine in drive or neutral. Does not see to change with engine rpm. Engine smooth as silk no horizontal movement. Torque mounts good.

Possible lower engine mounts collapsed, engine direct connection with body?

I checked the first one ie r/h upper #30779318 and although it is dry as a bone it does look like it has virtually collapsed.

The second item is the lower left #31316875 I assumed had collapsed and intend to replace that as well as the r/h lower #31277313 as it has been bathed in oil courtesy r/c gasket.

Ah well, I guess that is dealer service for you.

Shame the sales department has the purse strings. Feed 'em peanuts ................ ouch!

The RH ones just collapse without leaking oil. The alloy plate on top the rubs on the mount and transmits the vibration into the chassis rail.
