Top engine mount, firewall side.
Am swapping the existing mount from the T5, it's a later style, larger bush one and is near new and using it on the R.
This one pictured is from the V70T and was torn in the rubber, some missing even. Will try the butyl adhesive as a filler to form a new bush after cutting out the broken bits of the old bush.
Lets see how that goes.
The main, larger bush on the 70T top mount is a poly type different to the one on the T5 and may be more compliant so I will put that one on the R. It will have a test run on the T5 to see if I can tell the difference. The T5 has poly type lower gearbox mounts as well so engine vibration and noise is pronounced, very 'growly'... It can be intrusive and annoying at times.
Speaking of which.
Recently an old chap loomed upon me as I was pondering the Volvo in the driveway.
He drives a nice s70 manual and he had noticed my Volvo car yard, I had waved to him a few times driving in my street or up the shops and he wanted to say hello.
He told me of the horrible vibration whilst decelerating and noticed his top engine mount large bush was poly.
Wanting the serene feeling befitting a luxury car he went straight to Bilia and had a genuine Volvo bush fitted!
Cannot imagine the invoice for that job....
