I need a right hand side bonnet hinge for a 1979 244. Happy to buy as a pair and not fussed on colour. In Vic, but will pay postage.

OR anyone got a tip for getting the hinge back in shape after it won't close and is bending the main link?

Thanks

Has any attempt of lubrication and bending straight begun?

Try it, and if you break it I think I should have a good spare hinge

I'll give it another wd40 tomorrow and try and straighten, see if that does the trick. Cheers

I would use something more greasy and penetrating. Even engine oil is more effective than wd40

After a fair bit of whacking there's one linkage that is probably just too far gone to get it back in shape.

@ramrod if you could have a look to see if you have a spare that would be great.

Cheers

Yes I have one

Yours for $60 plus postage

Hi, the hinge arrived and it's the wrong side. I realised my original post wasn't particularly clear...

Do you have a driver's side one we can swap?

Luke,

I did send to you a right side bonnet hinge (driver side), was that wrong or was it the left side you needed?
