G'day everyone,

I'm in need of a rear brake caliper for the driver's side of my volvo as the mount for the bolt on the caliper snapped off. So far I've had no luck finding any from wreckers because of the popularity of the 240 axel for Holdens. My next bet was to buy replacement parts from the US which were about $500 bucks for right and left rear calipers and shipping. Does anyone know if there are any guys in Australia that make replacement brake calipers for Volvo 240s, or any compatible brake caliper options? Thanks!

I probably have used rear calipers, though they prob would need a rebuild?...Whereabouts are you located?

I'm pretty sure you can use 850/p80 alloy calipers with minor mods (drilling out mounting holes from a/f to metric, and bend the hardline slightly) I have done it on 140 series Dana diffs.

*Edit - they should bolt on to a 240 with no mods
