Looking for a Auto for a 1996 T-5 located in Lismore
1996 850 T-5 Auto gearbox
I have one but it’s not a turbo version
I'm not sure if the N/A is the same as the turbo model
Apparently the gearing is different which mucks the speed sensor up with ecu. I have to rebuild a 850 T5 auto and will have to swap everything over from it to what will probably be an Na box when I can find one.
Hi Shep I have a T-5 Auto from a 94 or 95 that didn't fit because of the speed sensor position
So yours is internal speed sensor? I just spoke to Mark at Berry Motors, he actually said the na and turbo are not different gearing, so as long as correct speed sensor is used it's probably ok. My 1996 has external one on top of box
Yeah its the internal one with the 2 pin
Ha! I'ma given up advice, can't get it right today, Moderna took my brain!
I am not 100% certain but when I damaged my Aw50-42le out of my 1997 V70 T5 . I got a spare box out of s70 2.4 and it had a different ratios and a different stall speed from memory I only had to swap over a housing that was damaged to reuse my original box. Not sure if any of this info helps. The doc list different stall speeds too.

Something I do know, the 2.4T V70 I had I put in a T5 TCM and it behaved as a T5 auto would ie much more sporty in shift points etc. Then a maxxed put the boost but that's another great fun story!
