Hi I am chasing a Volvo SC901 radio out of a v70/C70. I would prefer working and with a functional radio code and happy to post WA cheers

Berry's was getting them repaired or there's the guy that fixes them with B/T etc.

So I am still chasing a SC901 who is the guy that fixes then with Bluetooth @Ex850R?

    I know I have a working one

Not sure if I have the code but do have the vin of the c70 it came from

Let me power it up next week see if its not exploded on its own in storage

The guy is listed on the forum somewhere. Berry's know who fixes them at least.

I am still chasing one of these do any one have one thay want to sell?

Or did you @Philia_Bear have any luck finding the one you might of had?

Just be aware that there are some that don't have the custom eq (or at least mine did).

My car was upgraded from sc900 to sc901 in 2002 by volvo and the firmware on the sc901 locked out custom eq. I replaced it with one from a c70 (CD drive on mine was also busted) and the custom eq selection works fine.

Ahh good to know that's the only reason i want a Sc901 the EQ adjustment and the center dash speaker. I want to keep the stock head unit if possible speakers ect will be upgraded i have speakers and amps and subs at home ready to go in and I might educate myself on digital dsp as well if It is needed

Also odds are that at least the tweeter in the centre speaker will be dried up by now (happened to the original and replacement). The magnet also tend to fall off the old design woofer. Guess the Aussie sun takes it toll.

I just wired in a spare tweeter (8ohm) and it works pretty well.

Will The center speaker i have has the magnet on the top of the cone and is sturdy currently. I am surprised it actually sounds ok for a stock item and the tweeter deffinately works at I can hear good Hi's from it. When I can be bothered I have 2x alpine PDX amps to fit and Type R component for the fronts and Type R 2 ways for the rear and 2x R 12 subs. I am happy to change up speakers if required but they used to go pretty hard in my old wagon.

Even the base speakers (non Dynaudio branded) were made by Dynaudio so good quality and Volvo worked with Alpine for best match in all the amps and head units and CD stackers.

Yes they are good quality @Ex850R but there is always an good aftermarket product that looksad good as stock and performs way better than stock Eg Engine Tuning (VAST). No one would know you car is Tuned unless they were told. STEALTH is the keys or minimalistic approach. I like everything to look if possible factory OEM where possible but perform way better. This is just my preference some others like it at the other extreme and I have no issues with that.

This is exactly what I mean who would ever second guess this as OEM? We know its not but most would never know

          I know.

If you buy the Dynaudio out of say an XC90 and use the drivers you are still spending less than a quality aftermarket and Dynaudio make some of the best hifi speakers in the world . (Although the $30,000 ones I listened too with my brother ( he was lining up $20K Yamaha's....may have them soon I think ) were not as good as you would expect.....maybe the $90,000 speakers the sales guy spoke about would be better but I doubt it.....)

I'm going for Focal when I put a set up in as I just love my JM Lab/Focal home speakers. The French get some things right!
