Canoe, the gt engine isn't that special nowadays. Only the camshaft is different and 82-83 240s have the same cam.

well k in 240 vs h in gt but there's so little difference it doesn't really matter

Perhaps,but the guy was claiming 140KWs because it was blueprinted and balanced,which is 20 KW more than a turbo B230FT. Flew like stink.

140kw NA is doable but that is over boring and e85/lotsa fuel territory. Pretty likely it was just mildly warm which makes a GT feel even faster than they already do. Power to weight is king.

I managed something like 167rwhp in the gt with twin 45 webers, a massive cam, extensive head work, lots of balancing, full independence 2 1/5" exhaust, 11.3:1 cr, avgas & so very much of it. This was generated at 7500rpm. It was stupid hence turbo now.

140kws? I don't believe it. What rear wheel kilowatts? I've never seen a b23 make more than 70rwkws on a dyno with k-jet. 140hp is stock k cam b23E though at the Flywheel.. And there are turbos from factory with 134kws..

No,not rear wheel. Sold on gumtree and i lost his number. I know it sounds mad,but i wanted to put that into a 240 wagon because it had twin carbs. im sick of not understanding the electronic fuel injection and wanted something simple.

From everyones experience,does blueprinting and balancing any B2 engine make any difference?

For most engines you don't gain much power. Just a smoother revving motor.

What thread? You blokes are hilarious. Can't make that much power with kjet, clearly it says twin carb! It's not a whole lot of power in theory, nothing is impossible with some cash to throw around. Oh hey while I'm here, any chance anyone seen a 242 kicking around for decent money hey?

It came to bits & got sold off, I'd hazard a guess the carbs are the ones on said gt
