Thanks for the last 4 posts. I have confirmed firing order, and bypassed the ballast resistor giving me 12.6 volts at Positive coil from the ignition feed. The dizzy drive is set at 35 degrees and with the dizzy in, the rotor is pointing directly to No 1 etched on the dizzy housing aligning with No 1 spark led on the dizzy cap. As I have said in prior posts the rocker cover is off and No 1 spark plug out, the dizzy aligns to No 1 and No 1 valves are closed and No1 piston is on TDC as confirmed by the timing mark. All the ducks line up that timing is correct but yesterday afternoon it was still dead. I am beginning to wonder as well whether it is cranking fast enough even though it is a new starter? However I have just completed a 351 engine build and from the start it did a half a revolution and fired straight up, if the timing is correct any motor should do the same I would have thought?
