hey guys.
so I'm. playing around with the 264 and have question regarding fuelling with lh2.2
so for those who don't know I'll give a brief breakdown of the car.
it's a 79 264 converted to lh2.2 fuel system but running kjet ignition.
the motor is a b23e with H cam which has been overbored using chev 283 pistons bringing the capacity up to around 2.5l.
car runs perfect but I needed more fuel.
at first I stayed with the 2.5bar fuel reg and standard injectors(176cc) as a baseline, afrs were super lean.
normal cruising was high 15s low 16s Wot 16s-high 14s
I then swapped in a 3bar reg keeping the stock injectors, afrs were about the same but a little less lean.
you could feel it as soon as you hit the throttle there was nothing for a second then it came on
so swapped in some 16v injectors (243cc) sooo much better.
idle afrs 14.0-14.8
cruising 14.5-13.5
wot 12s - low 11s/high 10s at high rpm
the car feels great now, no more dead spot putting your foot down but there is a lean spike.
previously with the standard injectors when you first put your foot down it would spike to 20s hold there for abit then come down 16s /15s
now it still spikes, when you first put your foot down flat it will spike to 18/20 then quickly come down, it's very brief, like a blink of the eye so I'm not really concerned as afrs are good everywhere and the lean like is so quick but I was wondering what the lean spike could be..
is it a lh2.2 thing just being slow to react
anything else I should look for /play with?
I'm not trying to tune the car and go crazy just trying to make most of the bastardized setup I'm running haha
any feedback would be good, anyone that's played with 2.2 and NA setups would be sweet to hear what kind of afrs etc you are getting
