I've had this car for sale of 6 months without luck so I'm turning towards keeping it. It's a 1976 264 powered by a 2.7L Fuel injected PVR6/B27F V6 auto(Gutless as shit.) and the trans tends to slip more than a 4 year old on ice skates for the first time. What can I do to make it faster without spending crazy amounts of cash or engine swaps?
4 speed auto swap for a good one. I have a few but no tailshafts to go with a conversion.

Does the 4sp auto swap easily for any of the 264 or 262Cs?
It bolts in. The rear crossmember gets moved back and shift linkages may need work. Just the tail shaft needs to be shortened which is easily done by competant driveshaft shops.
Thanks. That would overcome one of the problems with owning a 262C.
