  • WTB-TAS-240 Electric antenna

WTB an electric antenna to suit my 1986 240 Sedan, closer to Hobart the better but would be happy to pay postage, sick of the crackle in the speakers!

I’d recommend buying a new one. There is nothing special about the original one that would have been on the car - I think they were made by Harada. Auto parts store should carry one that works. They usually come with a mounting kit that’s just a piece of steel strap with holes in it so you can support the bottom. The top comes with new swivel head and gasket for the hole in the guard.

Here’s an example - a bit pricey. You can go for a cheap and nasty one if you don’t want to spend $150 for the OE style one.

No worries. The used ones are usually knackered by now anyways so better to opt for a new one if you can.
