Just wondering if anyone has had any success adding some boost to a high comp kjet car. Have complete setup off 740t, wanting to only run around 5-7psi without changing fuel system or opening the engine. Has anyone ever had success with this kind of setup? Any help appreciated. Cheers. Brett.

The kjet system could work but you will need to increase injector size and move the air flap/fuel pump pre turbo.

The original 240 turbos ran k-jet, as did Porsche 924 turbo.
It's possible, but there will need to be a fair bit of fiddling and you'll need to get your head properly around k-jet.

Didn't matter in the end, checked out a 242gt to purchase. Was rather disappointed. Anyway. Keep on looking for now I guess. Appreciate the input! Cheers. Brett.

What was the condition and price Brett?

Price asking was 5200. It wasn't too bad. It showed signs of possible rust repair, I say possible, as it's possible it was just a respray. I didn't want to risk it though as I don't have the funds to be messing with repairing rust. Interior was really nice. Drove nice. Had R dash and few other really cool things. But that risk was not for me...

You will pay a lot for one rust free , it would be worth checking with a magnet , if it has been repaired it is going to last a while , fix it properly with metal when you can later.
You may chase that elusive one and never find it , grab a good one now. If it is OK mechanically whats not to like?

Wasn't for me. I've seen better cars, for similar money. I'm not after perfection, but I don't want something where I have to spend on it straight away. Project yes, but spending where I want to, not where I have to. If it had been repaired correctly then yes, I'm sure it will last. But if not?? As I said, the risk was too high for me. I'll keep looking, find something I am prepared to take on..
