So I get my car back on the road. Drive out of mechanics and lights start flashing, so I go back. He clears the code and off I go. All good.
We I go to leave my office tonight. Same thing.
Handbook says consult a dealer.
Anyone have any ideas on what it could be.

I found a few references to the PNP switch, so I did the L - P up & down 30 or 40 times, and switched ignition back to 0 and then back to position II again and it seemed to reset it. I guess I just keep an eye on it.

It seems to be fine now. Driving exceptionally well, considering age and K's(307,000).

Take your point though. Best to to investigate it further, before anything critical happens.

There are only 3 things it flashes about
1. Pnp signal
2. Overtemp
3. Bad wiring / solenoid failure

PNP - Probably
Overheat - No sign
Wiring/Solenoid - Can't be sure
It really does seem to be fine (for) now. But I'm on the alert.

Had to reset mine just after I picked it up from the transport company. Suspect that it could be dirty contacts on the low gears as they probably haven't had much use and would have been used to go up and down the ramps on the car carrier.
