@Rob the mod plate is for 7 seats
AshDVS
RIP plumbing is definitely a good score.
Individual parts for the older style intercooler plumbing are largely NLA.
Reality though is that, new vs new, the difference between the two style really isnt noticable.
The typical 'Throttle response is improved' response to the change in reality comes about because you've just replaced 10+ year old soft, ageing hoses with new ones.
It is a heap simpler though, which makes the change well worthwhile.

And I sure need new hoses !
The OTE pipe flaps around like a floppy thing...
Ordered a turbo output coupler, but need to source a replacement for the front hose.
And Rob, James is correct, i got 7 seats.
I kinda want to ride in the rear ones :)
CamZH
And how healthy is the PCV ?
Ex850R
Oh hi!
Ex850R
An S/V60R crossovr pipe would look the bee's i reckon...
Ex850R
Yout gay car?
She is lovely!
CamZH
Astro is a bit of a cutie ;)
I do have the old (original) OTE pipe from my S60R.
But it has a left to right intercooler setup rather than top to bottom
Ex850R
Some cutting and some sili hoses may work?
CamZH
yeah, Les thats what I was thinking.
Gotta get myself into Supercheap and have a look at the hoses available.
I dont mind the OTE pipe thats in there just need better hoses.
AshDVS
I wanted to use one of the S60R OTE pipes too, but I'll likely just make up my own RIP setup when I have time.
The stock, 16 year old, hoses on mine are ordinary too.
CamZH
yeah, sounds cool, but too much effort, and I'll wreck a perfectly good OTE.

Update on the cooling:
Took her for a bit of a run today and she overheated :(
The temp guage was going fine and then dropped to zero.
I assumed the HG issue had appeared and the coolant had escaped.
Opened the bonnet and the overflow bottle was full.
Did think much of it and keep on going.
Then the white mist appeared from under the bonnet ><
Turns out the temp sender/sensor is stuffed and reporting low so the cooling fan isnt working !
With the temp sensor disconnected the fan runs great and runs after shut down. (as it should in this condition)
Time for a new sender/sensor
Ex850R
Thermostat too.
CamZH
Yeah. Might as well
CamZH
2nd hand temp sensor = fan working :)
Rob

good

The little hose at the back of the block , coolant reservoir side.
How are the radiator end tanks?
CamZH
Turbo coolant hoses are shot (swollen badly, but not yet leaking), new ones ordered from IPD last week.
End tanks, havent really looked.
Figured if they burst or leak its time to change it :)
CamZH
Got a haul of parts today from the Head Honcho.
Electric seats.
Tow bar
And blower motor.
Working a.c. is a bit of a novelty in an 850.
If any one wants to know, a V70 blower motor is not a bolt in fit in an old 850.
Different plugs, different size (fouls on glove box) but it does work.
