Yes. have personally done this conversion... (on the jamesmobile)

pretty simple and much, much, much better.... and allows you to fit an eggcrate or mesh or similar grille if you so desire.

The cam of the handle behind the grille is plastic and breaks just when you need to put oil , brake fluid , water , window wash in at a most inconvenient time......

Do you reckon I could get the front fog lights and put them on my V70 (it has none at all)? I assume I would need wiring for this? And the trip computer if yours is the fancy one! (Ill do them both at the same time haha)

I believe mine IS the fancy one (you want the dial that you can switch modes with?)

I've already sold the fog lights though. FWIW the V70 should be pre-wired for them.

Yes! The one with the mode switch :) How much for that? Do you reckon Ill need the instrument cluster as well or just the bit with the clock and temp thing in it? And I believe that is pre wired as well just have to get it activated. Sa-weeeeet~

You'll need the cluster too I suspect. In any case you can have the cluster. I've pinched a couple of bulbs from the cluster so you'll want to transfer them across from your old cluster. Other than that it all worked fine.

$50 + postage for the switch and cluster. If you need any other related bits (do you need the external temp sensor for the display??) I'll throw them in too.

James , does yours have a blue external sensor on rhs of front in same spot as other one onlhs? I wonder what that is for??
Your will have TRACS , does using the switch change it to TRACS enabled? Or is that part of a T5/R computer module.??

Yeah well Ill take the cluster as well then, for $50 haha. My V70 does have the temp sensor on it so I don't think I need that one.

My V70 has done 225 give or take so its around the same haha.

I might end up hacking both clusters and still using my old one with new bits in it so my kilometres stay legit but Ill see what it looks like.
