Car overheated. Got to 132 degrees according to logs. Coolant still looks green and the oil isn't milky so fingers crossed the head is still ok.
The logs show the temp going up a little bit after a pull but then back down fairly quickly. After one pull the coolant temp didn't go down and just kinda sat there, and then just progressively got hotter from that point. Managed to limp home out of boost with light throttle and kept the temp at about 118.
Also noticed boiling sounds from the thermostat but it could just be that's the highest point in the block.
I have a feeling it's the water pump as the thermostat is only a 6 months old and was a "premium" gates one.
Are there any tell-tale signs it's one or the other? Coolant movement in the expansion tank, squishy hoses etc.?
