Ok so I have a story about the car that history buffs will love.
We came across the wagon which was posted on the Volvo NSW club page. It was sitting on property at Mt Wilson. That was about 4-5 years ago. So fast forward to yesterday we were driving back from AJ's wedding and saw the sign for Mt Wilson. So we turned off to see if we could find the place we picked the car up from. So we are driving around looking to see if any of it looked familiar, we saw this driveway that looked semi familiar and pulled into it
There were these two dudes collecting walnuts and it was obvious we were at the wrong property so we get out and ask them about the name on the keys that came with the car and they are like "oh yeah Noellie Mclean lived next door but ill get my sister out cause she knows more about her".
So the sister comes out and her eyes light up and she is like "OMG IS THAT NOELLIES CAR?" And we explain that we got the car about 4 years ago from a caretaker at her property and the sister is like "yeah she has been dead since 2009 and her car just sat on the property under the trees".
Then she called Noellie's son who is a film maker on the gold coast and he was over the moon to hear about it.
But get this, I did some more research and as it turns out, this Noellie was the grand daughter of a guy called Henry Marcus Clark who was the owner of a department store chain in the 10's and 30's called Marcus Clark and Co and the Sydney TAFE in Sydney is built inside the old Marcus Clark store and its called the Marcus Clark building.
So I have the car of the grand daughter of the Marcus Clark building in Sydney!

I took another photo of the car parked under the same tree we picked it up from 4 years ago. It was cool to return the car back to where it used to live.
So as it turns out we are actually the second owners of the car. Noellie bought the car as a panel van with the steel floor and cage still in it. Then when she wanted a passenger car she was totally against the Japanese because of them killing her father in a POW camp. So instead of purchasing an "affordable" Japanese wagon she converted the L into a 5 seater so she could still move farm supplies as well as carry passengers.
Its such an interesting story and paints a whole different light on the car!
When we got it 4 years ago
Parked in the same spot yesterday!
