Hi folks,

looking for an M400 or M410. These came with the 164's and a few of the 1800 E's (about 1970). I'm after the gear sets and the synchros, so a noisy box with worn bearings okay by me. If you have one please let me know - easy to distinguish from the M40's and M41's as the gearbox through the bell housing from the clutch side, rather than into the bellhousing from the gearbox side.

Thanks!

How different is that part to the M46?

Ian,

I've not compared parts physically, but they are different part numbers. I've just found a source for some of the M400 / M410 rings overnight (new and used), so will see if they're right when i get them in hand. Thanks for your suggestion though, cheers, Ashley

Hi Performance Auto in the US are a good source for M410 parts.

I have an M400 I would possibly sell.

Removed it from my 164 when i fitted an M410.

It is a good box but is missing the front input shaft bearing retainer/throwout bearing slide.

PM me if you are interested and we can discuss.
