I am after a left hand side power window motor for a 240. Needs to be what I assume is the later model style - black plastic case.
I have the metal case style already but bench testing indicates it operates slower that the right side plastic case motor I have.
I want symetry in the raising of the windows on my 242 haha.
Fwiw the power windows in my 240 came from a 90 model GLE and are metal case so I'm guessing the plastic one is from a 90+ or something.
Found a black plastic case one in the shed today, it's out of a '78 244. I'll see if it works first and if so, post a pic.

@Major Ledfoot in my haste I didnt realise that the one you had was for the right hand side of the car. I need the left hand side. I did try fitting it regardless but it doesnt fit. Dont suppose you have a left one?
Interesting for those playong along at home, the one I got from @Major Ledfoot is a slightly different version yet again. Amongst minor differences, it has a smaller gear. It does however still bolt up and work the same. I havent yet compared the internal gearing to see if the overall speed is different or not.

Front left is the one I'm after. The one you have has the chunky black plastic case as pictured above? You got a picture? If it is that style it would work for me.
At this point so many people have swaped parts between year models, so its hard to figure out the pattern is of what style was in what when. I'm starting to think it might actually be a pre 1980 240 thing.
