Good news - looks like I may have found a local recycler who will come and pick up these cars when I’m ready - before Xmas! So if anyone wants to come and have a pick over start making plans as I can’t keep them around forever.

Hi Alex. Are you after early or late style. I have a pair of 91 tan seats decent condition, as well as a pair of tan seats from @AdrianH ’s 265GLE that aren’t too bad. Also a number of early brown seats but not sure how good they are. Lemme know what you’re after more specifically.

Early style - she's a 1980 245. The front drivers seat is getting pretty saggy and doing my back in. Brown would be ideal as I think that will be the colour match.

One more thing if you dont mind. Would any of those wagons happen to have chocolate brown interior pieces? Im searching for 4 door cards and the associated brown trim, the rear wagon folding seat, the brown door rubber trims and the door bottom kick board things. Thanks :D

The white 1980 (?) has all the brown bits, not in great condition. @Roinik was interested in some of it so until he sees and takes what he wants, I can’t promise anything. The yellow wagon (82/3?) has brown interior but it has the black sill trims and pinchweld trims. Again, not in great condition - I suspect the door cards are probably pretty rotten. I haven’t pulled the door cards off either car yet. I may have some other brown door cards from another car I wrecked, but it would probably be 1987 vintage so may not be the style you’re after. No 3rd row seats remaining.

Got the 2nd M46 out this morning (plenty of swearing!) Lunch break now then will pull clutch pipe, clutch master and pedal box, then the rust bucket goes back outside. I don’t want any critters taking up residence in the shed - they can live in the car! ;)

Waiting to hear back from @lasercowboy as he put his hand up for an M46 kit...if he doesn’t want it then there will be one available. Need to go thru my notes to see if anyone else had expressed interest. I think @GreenGL would be next in the queue if I don’t have anyone already on the list after Rico.

1987 brown cards will work for me as the car has a late model dash. Im just after brown and not tan. Did you happen to have a brown rear seat? Not the 3rd row but the rear passenger one? If you dont have the sills thats ok, I can run black if thats a more common colour as thats what I have here. Also one thing you might not have but worth an ask is brown floor mats? I have black and would like brown if I could get them.

Sorry, yes, there are 2 brown rear seats. Not sure how good they are - I can have a look and let you know.

I forgot I have the brown rear seat from my 79 245 that I converted to black. I think it was in pretty good condition so that’s available. Just need to check whether I can pull together a good set of brown door cards.

Here's a pic of the brown rear seat - it's quite good. Weather too crap to assess door cards at the moment - may be able to make up a decent set of 4 brown ones from 81-83 vintage car, although I suspect the fibre door cards may be a bit rotten at the bottom (could fix up if you wanted to?) The prob will be getting them to you - I assume maybe you could come and pic them up find somebody to pick them up for you as all too big to ship.

I am hopefully heading down to Yarram over the Christmas break so could probably swing by on the way home with the van and pick everything up.

Sounds good. I will hold the brown rear seats for you and you can go thru all the brown door cards etc and pick out any you think you can use. I started removing all the door trims yesterday and as expected the front cards in particular are rotten on the bottom. Could replace with new board in lower half as that area is flat. But hopefully you can find some slightly better ones.

Took a bit of work to remove the final door panel - door latch was stuck. :) So I have 2 car-sets of brown door panels plus window winders, armrests, handles, pull handles and cups. As mentioned a couple of the door panels are pretty rotten.

Well I think I have 3 early style cars here with brown seats, so probably could put together one good set from that lot...but you’d need to come down and have a look and pick up as they’re too heavy to consider shipping.

I thought you could buy the foam for the seats or get car seat foam and shape it to fit , any old car is going to have rubbish seats , or go Alfa Romeo ones.

Yeah I think you can buy new foam but it’s hideously expensive. I find you can either repair existing foam or use a passenger side foam to refurb a driver’s seat as the passenger seats usually aren’t as degraded.

Edit - saggy seat is typically the seat grid/springs broken or unhooked and/or lumbar mechanism broken. Need to pull seat out and de-trim to investigate. Fun stuff!
