as there are a lot more Volvos available down in Melbourne, I'm thinking about buying one. Does anyone have a good tip on cheap interstate transport options? Company recommendations or something?

There's a Facebook group called CAR TRANSPORTERS AUSTRALIA where you can post jobs and get prices. There's also a couple of websites where you post a job and get bids you can choose from.
I use these guys usually if you want a trucking company, I've found they are pretty competitive but may not be the fastest. They do another of dealer deliveries so sometimes have space on their trucks.

Loadshift is like a bulletin board for Truckers. They pay to subscribe so your info is not available for the public to read, only load shift freight companies.
