So I bought an XC70 ('06) cross country last year and since then have been replacing or repairing at least something in each and every system on the car. Its the late model money pit project car...

One puzzling thing is the lack of airflow in the cabin, I replaced the cabin air filter (it was filthy), the fan was replaced as it suddenly developed a vibration. I did a OBD2 check and the CCM-0040 - Air quality sensor came up, after trying to reset it a few times it would not clear. Did a little reading across the interwebs and the sensor can affect amongst things the airflow in the cabin. I did order a replacement one, however whilst waiting, the technician in me got curious and I pulled the sensor out and cleaned it with contact cleaner and let it dry out over a day. Replaced the sensor the next day and cleared the code again, code disappeared with no other codes for the climate control system. The airflow from the dash vents has picked up a little bit, but still a lot less than I have experienced in other cars, air conditioner and demister functions still work.

Any Ideas ?

cheers
