  • Wanting to buy a V40 phase 1 or 2

I've been after a phase 1 or 2 Volvo V40 for a long time but still haven't found anything that has ticked enough boxes for me to buy.

Is anyone here considering selling one or know of any around that might fit my wish list:

*Sydney location would be most convenient as interstate adds a lot to the price with registration and transport costs (but will consider all options)

*Ideally I want a T4 manual, and phase 2 but will consider all options, even (gasp) an auto or non-turbo

*I don't mind a bit of a project but don't want to have to do any bodywork so not after anything that needs significant body repair or has paint issues like peeling clear coat

Will purchase outright or I have a manual 2.4 V50 that might be able to work into a deal if someone wants a newer Volvo.

Phase 2 T4 wagons are rare.

Not sure if we got any manual-turbo-wagon at all in Phase2.

Thanks @Ex850R, I considered the T4 in Collingwood but a bit concerned about interstate costs and not getting to see it in person before committing, and was hoping for a few less miles. Also have some concerns that the dark windows and stereo might be bad indicators. I'm also only looking at V40s, so not considering a S40.

@Spac, I thought the same about phase 2 T4s but there was one for sale in WA recently - 2003, silver, manual, T4 (I checked the VIN to be sure). I wanted it but the seller said interstate buyers were too much trouble after I sent him a bunch of questions and he stopped talking to me. It sold not long after anyway. There was also a 2003 burgundy manual T for sale in Melbourne a couple of years ago.

Edit: thinking again about the Collingwood one, has anyone seen that one in person or convenient to the area to have a look?
