Has anyone successfully upgraded their early 240's driveshaft (1.75" shaft/35mm end) centre support bushing to something a bit more solid?
I now have a lightened flywheel and the car revs pretty fast/hard, it tore apart a new standard bushing in a week (albiet maybe due to the part quality)
At this stage I think a 940 centre support adapter (LucaCarMods/RetroTurbo) and either finding a thicker driveshaft (2" shaft/45mm end) or getting an adapter made to run a 45mm bearing on the 35mm end is going to be the best bet.
