XC90 MY13 R-Design Various Parts / Repairs

Hi all,

Many thanks in advance for the assistance. Hoping that you might be able to help answer some parts / repair queries for a Volvo XC90. For reference I'm Sydney-based if anyone recommends taking a look / visiting anywhere.

A family member who's living overseas has lent me the car while away. I would like to fix up a few items to say thanks before they return but not wanting to entertain the horrible prices the local Sydney dealers undoubtedly want for the parts (haven't visited yet but happy to do so if recommended).

The three damaged items are below with some questions. The vehicle is a 2013 XC90 D5 R-Design Automatic MY13 with the 2.5 D5 147kw and AWD transmission (as best I can tell). The vehicle VIN can be supplied if of assistance for a dealer or somebody with VIDA sub.

A. Front right hand side (driver's) seat side panel (bracket for seat controls) is broken - gather a common issue

Q1) I deduce the Volvo Part Number is: 39802016 - can you confirm (there appears a couple of variants based on electric/massage seats etc.)?

B. Rear left hand side wheel arch fender / flare

Q2) I can only find the XC70 equivalents on Ebay/other sites not the XC90 - is someone able to confirm the Volvo OEM part # for the XC90 and pricing / availability?

Q3) It requires / is attached with several clips (and I guess one screw) - can someone confirm the part numbers (assuming these are not removable / reuseable) and guide to replace?

C. Boot 'folding flap' that covers tailgate gap when tailgate lowered and is attached to spring loaded metal bar to fold up with tailgate when closed - the plastic flap has separated with the adhesive from the spring loaded metal bar

Q4) I will try to repair however spring force is very strong - any suggestions for appropriate repair adhesive / method or failing that is a replacement part available and do you have Volvo OEM part # / cost?

Q5) Finally - last question - I have had intermittent brief 'anti-skid temporarily disabled' or 'anti-skid service required' come up. It is resolved/self-clears usually by next vehicle use (after engine turned off) that I attribute to a failing / partially corroded clockspring or anti-yaw sensor from previous research. Any other thoughts on this and particularly time I could expect before it becomes a permanent issue.

I've included photos of each of the effected areas above / attached (refer corresponding letters A / B / C). Apologies if the post is lengthy or misplaced.

P.S. I'm fairly useless but not totally - have managed to repair / service a siezed fuel cap motor assembly / pin after confirming electrics for fuel cap locking / unlock cycle were good.

That seat side panel is a common breakage and available on ebay and a number of places, it breaks easy as where it is situated next to the seat and not really a robust plastic panel. My XC70 one needs replacing too on both sides.

The one you have pictured looks exactly like my 2006 XC70 Cross country seat

If you are technically minded. I would download VIDA 2014D install it. Using your VIN number you can get the parts list for your car. I did it a month ago and got all my parts using it.

This is a good guide, it has the links how to download the VIDA software. You will need to set up Virtual Box to run windows 7. But besides that the installation was a piece of cake.
