Took apart the spare pump as much as easily possible and it runs but still blocked up and not passing any fluids. Used a fuel system cleaner to clear but no luck.
As the car has sat with me for a couple of years, I was thinking the whole fuel system could be gummed up through the car. Started to remove the whole system starting at the tank. Though there was only a small amount of fuel in the tank, but it turned out to be nearly 40l and it was a yellow color!
Testing the pump direct to a battery was not running but after a light tap with a hammer on the body fuel was spraying out everywhere. All from the tank through to the engine has been removed and will flush out, clean up the tank and replace all the rubber lines. A lot of these had gotten brittle and the outer layer was crumbling off.
Next will be remove the system from the engine and flush out.
