Apparently they rust a lot more easily than other variants due to the body being made by Italians and no doubt using USSR steel........
So , you should look at any you find for sale no matter what you think about presentation and ascertain if the example is solid in the body which will be the biggest expense.
If its a little tatty it is nothing compred to a good looking one that is a rusty junker underneath that could well determine that the car may be only good for scrap.
Its happened before with a guy who may not be here but was on a local Facebook group.
He percivered and spent a great deal of cash getting the rust fixed.
I was once getting an Alfasud registered and the guy checked the firewall and told of a Ferrari that came in to the rego branch with a rusted out firewall they thought they could get past them by virtue of it being a Ferrari......it failed....Italian/USSR steel......
