Work has continued since the last post, just not at a great rate of progress. A range of parts (body replacement panels, new front seat covers and brake caliper kits). The body has been attached to a rotisserie and working on prepping the underside for sand blasting.
As I go, more areas found with potential rust, looks like the right-side rocker panel will need
to be replaced with lots of bog at the rear and rust blisters at the front.
Been working on one of the doors, cleaned up the vinyl door trim, made a new backing card and reattaching the vinyl. Will post a photo once finished.
Starting to clean up one of the front brake calipers for a rebuild. While I have a rebuild kit, noted that some further parts will be required including a gasket for between the caliper halves. Once the caliper was split, I don’t see where these would fit or if required, as seen between the parts diagram and photo.
Any information about this difference would be appreciated.
Looking ahead, plan is to get body ready for stripping, work on detailing the front end and get a door finished (door card and replace lower section from rust damage)
