How do you remove them? Especially the rusted in ones! How do get under the tongue so you can pull out the clip?

I had to do the ones on my 244. They just have a tab with a notch that locks them in. Just get a screwdriver under them and work them free. If you bend the metal a bit it's okay, you can hammer it back into place afterward.

I'll give it a go. Seems to be less space than a screw driver can get into. Maybe a knife balde. Trusty Swiss Army maybe!
