alphax Anybody in Melb area have a stock 240 rear sway bar they want to move on? I'm after the smallest diameter bar out there. Did the 70's 244 have a smaller bar than an 80's 240? Cheers
Philia_Bear Either 17mm or 19mm was the smallest For racing use... moving the sway bar up to the frame and using drop links with spherical ends would be far more effective Also you can tune it by adjusting the length of the arms coming off the solid rod or tube
alphax Thanks very much. Yeah agree that would be the way to go. Just want to give a stock config skinny bar a shot since with current suspension setup have found rear grip is best on exit of tight corners when rear bar is deleted altogether vs. the 242 GT bar. The GT bar makes the car feel responsive in terms of steering/change of direction but gets a bit slippery on exit sometimes.

carnut222 Hi Michael - I have 5 rear sway bars...3x 19 and 2x 17 (near as I can measure - the 17s are both still on cars). Happy to pull one of the 17s for you if you want to come up. Just give me a few days' notice.Regards,Greg
