Seems you have to make molds etc yourself though. The xc90 needs them......

Focused on small wins at the moment. Time is scarce and I've got some customers working to tight deadlines, so I'm doing everything I can to help them adhere to them.

On saturday, when I'd decided I'd had enough of some things I was working on, I grabbed half an hour and replaced every single one of the dash switchpack light globes. I'm not into changing colour or anything like that so it was simply replacing burned out ones with new ones, but it brought a chunk of satisfaction to have everything working as it should.

Next up is to replace the intermittently faulty ABS module. Might do that one night this week.

Got my ABS module replaced last night... and then worked til 3:00AM to fulfill orders. lol.

The Abs module is also pretty easy to repair Ash if you keep it for a spare. Only Basic soldering skills required normally. I repaired mine lot to long ago. I was getting all sorts of ABS and related codes now its all good for now lol.

I've never actually split one or repaired one. I dont think that's for any reason other than I just pick a couple of things here and there that I dont touch so I'm not burning time on something else.

Maybe I should, I've replaced ABS modules on both this V70 and the previous one. My old 850T5 was an early one (95) so didnt have the same issue and the S70T5 that I had for a short time wasnt that old when I had it, had low kms and hadnt suffered this fate yet.

Indeed. Working on that at the moment. This week has been a bit of a 'sprint' though with some very long days.

I stood firm on my 'closed Thursdays' approach yesterday though for the first time in a while.

To celebrate the fourth entry in the club permit logbook (and our wedding anniversary), we took the V70 to dinner earlier in the week -

There's been no changes, nothing added, no updates, just getting out a little and using it.

Looking at it a bit in the pic above, I think I'd like to drop some front ride height out of it (maybe 10mm) but doing that with the Ohlins struts and either a H&R or Eibach spring isnt possible.

It could be emphasised by the 18" wheel and a 225 40 18 tyre too.

I'd like to get a factory 'Comet' wheel and try it out for clearance around the brakes. Maybe I can get the Comets to fit with a more oem tyre size - perhaps a 215 40 17 or something like that and that would help me like it a bit more.

I'm being picky now though and, in reality, I'm going to financially recover a bit before significant spends on the V70 pick up again (ie. I want to buy a new bike. lol)

Drive and enjoy Ash , its been a long journey and alot of work to get to this point , let it settle for 12 months and see where your at with things then , great effort there.

I'll make a spare parking spot at my place ?

I dragged the V70 out to my local Cars & coffee event over the weekend and there were some pretty neat other vehicles there - despite all that, the V70 was pretty popular.

For me though, the series IV RX7 and the Lancer Evo wagons were the standouts.

Maybe. Great styling though - I have zero desire to own anything rotary powered, so I'm happy to admire someone elses maintenance headache. :)
