Hey all,

I need some parts to complete my manual conversion.

I am chasing,
Pedals,
Slave cylinder
Line from master to slave
Gear shifter
Cables.

I am having a tough time sourcing them (no kidding I hear you all say).

If you have some bits or can point me in the direction of where some are I am willing to part with reasonable cash......reasonable :-)

Thanks

Jay
what vehicle are we talking about?
wow, that is fair task on a P2. what are you doing engine management wise?
We are creating a Frankenstein between my V70 and a written off S60 donor car.

I have a guy who has done a few around Melbourne coming up to Toowoomba to complete it once I get all the bits together. This guy does remapping and ECU tunes and he has a plan.
From what I have read mechanically it is quite ok, it is getting it to go that is difficult. Keen to hear more...
Once I get the parts and do it I will let you update all.
If you can find what you want in the UK cheap I don't mind forwarding it to you
I thought the electronics weren't such an issue and that you only need a retune to let it rev over 4,000rpm??
IE: It will start, run and drive but needs a chip to let it go properly.

Good you have a dude who has done it before.
The P2's electronics are very fussy around neutral safety and reverse lock-out.
If you have an S60 manual and the electronic modules that go with it - then you're off to a good start...

Do keep us updated...

About sourcing parts - if you have no luck here, try sourcing from UK wreckers (breakers) there a lots of manuals over there. The postage is the $$$ part.

I have broadened my search to the UK and you are right the postage is crazy. Especially when UPS and FedEX are so cheap from the states.

Will keep people updated as my AW55-50N continues to die my quest may hasten a little (fingers crossed I will get it done this side of Christmas).
When I get home I'll have a look at some options for freight. We used Transglobal in the past to get stuff over. They have got funny with big things that are hard to xray.
Its Mark Richardson from VP tunning coming up, If your after any parts try Volv parts keysbrough, they are not cheap, but they are wrecking S60 manual Voldat also has some parts 03 95531091 :D
Here's Transglobal's site

These are one of the others that I used when I sold my old V70

All of them come up with a selection of prices, and you can pretty much pay for it all and then send the person sending it a printed address label.

Hope that helps
