Recently purchased my first 240, but like most old cars , some parts are needed.

RHS factory speaker in good working condition, I would be open to purchasing the fronts as a pair with covers if the price is right.

[strike]1980's GLE gauges (I would need the fascia/pod, the gauges, loom and sensors [/strike]

Front pair of headrest cloth inserts in beige/tan ( I may be open to buying a set of 4)

14" 240 Libra wheel in good condition (only one required, as a spare wheel)

Headlight protectors to suit 1982 onwards 240

Centre console cubby in Tan/camel

I may be interested in other OEM 240 accessories.

I am based in Melbourne , VIC, so happy to pickup if you are also there, otherwise I will cover postage.

What wheels are on the car at the moment?

For headlight protection I use this

What wheels are on the car at the moment?

The car has 4 Libra wheels on it, but they were added by a previous owner. The car originally had steel wheels with hubcaps, and this is what the current spare is.

I'll look into that headlight film.

$200 posted. Includes all the wiring and the ambient temperature sensor. Tested and 100% working. I have two sets if anyone else is also after some. Will be hitting ebay soon otherwise and no doubt sold off overseas.

Libra wheels as in these? Interesting, keen to see pics of them on the car.

There's also an obscure 240 accessory wheel called Libra - check out this link:

Why not get brand new speakers? There are many threads on what and how.

Kaplehenke even do metal front door covers to look OEM but can have other speakers in.

I may do that eventually, right now just looking for a quick and cheap fix.

@OhNoesAVolvo Chris what do your door speakers look like? I have these available:

            https://cdn.ozvolvo.org/uploads/633/MV2SHVRIYK5S.png

Looks like I have the HT168

Not sure the difference between HT173 that are on my parts car or the HT168. They look very similar except for the chrome ring vs. black ring. If you're interested I can pull the door panel off and compare the rear numbers. I may have another spare speaker or two in my parts bins. Lemme know if you want me to have a look. I've seen people cut the metal speaker frame out and mount a new speaker in the frame, then clip the original cover back on top. Of course you have to find a fairly compact new speaker if you want to do that. New speakers are probably a lot better sound-wise, but I don't think the OE Volvo ones of that era were particularly bad, so if you're not an audiophile then replacing with old genuine ones that work is probably the easiest as there's no mucking around! :)

            5 days later

I would be happy with a pair of working OEM speakers for the moment, I may upgrade speakers later down the track, however, my options are limited as I have manual windows

I'm also now chasing a CR4220 in fully working condition, for cheap ( I simply need a fully functional radio so I can diagnose a audio issue the car is having) Ideally I'd like to see the radio working before it is removed from a car.

            2 months later

Thankyou to all that have assisted with parts so far.

I still am after some parts, with some new requests (in bold)

Front pair of headrest cloth inserts in beige/tan ( I may be open to buying a set of 4)

14" 240 Libra wheel in good condition (only one required, as a spare wheel)

Headlight protectors to suit 1982 onwards 240

Set of Virgo wheels in good condition

            OEM Volvo/Thule roof racks

Rear Louvre (preferably the type with cutout for the high mount brake light ,pictured below, I may settle for the more common type if the price is right)

            2 years later

            Bump

            I am still chasing a:

Front pair of tan/beige front headrest inserts in good condition, for late 240 (86 onwards)

Rear sedan louvre with cutout for high mount stop light

Hej Chris, I have the headrest inserts in great condition, freshly washed.

I will be replacing the front seats so the inserts can go. ( all of beige interior will go at some point, excellent 160,000 klm 1990 )

            Msg me. Les
