Has anyone on here modified the diff mounting points on the lower trailing arms of a 240, say 15mm forwards, to correct the set back of the wheels in the arches on a slightly lowered car?
I have IPD adjustable upper torque rods and so can correct pinion angle via those, but would like to pull the wheels forwards for both aesthetic reasons and to prevent the 16" style 5's from rubbing on the rear of the arches.
People seem to buy adjustable lower trailing arms to pull their wheels forward but besides the expense, I figure that they would slightly throw off other geometry like shock and spring angles.
Any suggestions or red flags? Am I missing anything critical?
I'd imagine the tail shaft would also be pushed forward in this case...
