economical write off = non-statutory write off.

Safe to fix but not economically viable, at retail prices anyway.

airbag cover common sun damage item....Good thing it is just a standard 850 part.

Hard bits would be the specific 850 T5R bits ....wheels, seats, spoilers etc.

I wonder what the write off damage was. A black T5R is not a common beast.
$5000 is a fair asking price if you really wanted that model.

I think the concept is that a vehicle can be written off for a couple of reasons

1. Economical reasons (economical write-off)
2. Statuatory (legislative) reasons (statutory write-off)

had a look at this on the weekend. not bad. the guy has spent a lot on it, koni suspension, new brakes etc. paint is pretty stuffed. lots of minor cosmetic issues, cracks, clips etc. motor seems to run well and boosts up nicely, gears change nicely, rides well. had a mate who is a volvo specialist check it out and he says chassis has done 345000 kms. motor is apparently low km swap with approx 80,000 on it, but havent seen paperwork to confirm.
was (still am) tempted but looking at putting my gtir pulsar on the road instead. see what happens

I think its lower 15 yellow and 5 black and 1 special order green one but auto as all T5Rs are manual, I have owned a black one It was on gumtree about a month ago with a blown motor in Tamworth NSW my old car, John at Voldat has a black one for sale but this is a restoration job, I sold my car for 7k with 210ks and all the ipd products on,MTE stage2 TME exhaust to some guy in WA then it went to Tamworth NSW, and now I just heard someone in Vic has bought it with a blown motor for 3k
