my 92 940 GL has been idling alternately too low, and too high, as well as stalling sometimes when no throttle is applied - its an auto. thought maybe an alternator problem, as the belt was pretty loose, tightned and no difference, then i revved it, and it got caught auto-revving itself, like, it wouldn't drop back to idle after no throttle was applied, it would rev to 2k, drop to 1k for a second, then rev back to 2k.
I'm going to walk to supercheap to get some throttle body cleaner, clean the IACV and throttle to make sure it isnt the throttle sticking, and i've visually checked all the vacuum lines, they seem fine, just wondering if there's anything else i should be looking for - fuel filter?. It's the bosch ignition, plugs & dizzy don't seem too bad but i'm not great with ignition stuff.
Any help is appreciated, as this is my only working car right now and i'm mid-exams and very much enjoy being able to go to the grocery store without walking for two hours.
