Hi I am looking for steel wheels for a 240 wagon in Melbourne. Someone is selling a 240 without the wheels. Its a long story but I was thinking of buying the car and using its seats, carpets and door trims to swap into my car. I am happy to swap some of the bits off that car for the wheels

Duncan it is a 1987. Joe the reason I said steel wheels is because I can't stand a car outside my house on bricks. My neighbours would never speak to me again :)

I have a set the same as what's on your wagon. If I recall correctly they are average condition, 2 near new tyres, 2 not as good. If you're interested I can get pics

I'm a couple of hours from Melbourne but I have a couple of sets of standard 240 steel wheels, and also some 14" alloys. I can probably get them to Melbourne pretty easily, let me know if none of the other deals work out.

Thanks for the responses guys. Now I need to get back to the guy with the wagon to try and hammer out the deal with him. Once he is confirmed we can talk. One thing I was thinking of is that if I have to spend the money and buy a set of wheels maybe I should spend a bit more on a set of 15" for my volvo. 15 is the size I want to end up with. There are quite a few 15" wheels I like including the Aries from the 940

was going to say salman. there are a tonne of ultra cheap alloy 14's etc on the likes of gumtree etc

Everyone on Gumtree wants over $300 for a set of Volvo 14"s. I dont see them ever selling though. I personally feel 14s are a bit too small and think 15s are a good middle ground. The Aries are 15".

there was a set i noticed for $50 pick up. melbourne location. dint look into them any further as im not interested in alloys or anything under 17"
