I decided to have a go at straightening the bent panels.

The door was remarkably co-operative. There’s a scrape above the Sacco panel, but not too bad. It was pretty bent in, under the Sacco panel, but a bit of levering from the inside pushed it back into place.
The hardest part was going and taking the clips out of the blue car (that I haven’t started thinking of being the parts car, even though it obviously is…),

Bouyed by that success, I figured that I would try to straighten the guard.
My tools and techniques were less than sophisticated, but it is now presentable.

Polishing off the black paint from whatever had collided with this car, was a big help.
It is far from perfect, but for a couple of hours work, it has come up surprisingly well.

Still have to deal with the paint at the front, but it is a lot better than I expected.
Swapped the good front bumper from #6 onto the first twin, so the original bumper can go back onto the rally car.

Now they really are twins…
Current thinking is to just register and drive the first twin - directly contradicting yesterday’s comments.
The first twin has a dent in the roof, and some peeling clear coat on one quarter. It is a lowish kay, running and driving car with a grey interior.
For me to be happy with #6, I will have two swap the bonnet, three doors, replace the windscreen, and swap the entire interior… and I still don’t know how healthy the motor/gearbox are.
Using The First Twin gives a worse outcome, but a better and more predictable outcome for the effort, so that’s where I am heading for now.
